Roxanne has been showing dogs since a small child. Growing up handling her Grandparents Boxers, she first entered the ring at just 18 months old at then Exemption shows (now known as Companion shows) By the age of six Roxanne was competing at Open shows not only with the Boxers, but other breeds too.
By the age of 7, her parents decided it was time she had her own dog. The family dog was chosen as an Irish Red and White Setter and now the family are involved in the showing, breeding, training and loving this breed under the Roanjora affix.
Roxanne had a successful Junior Handling career but soon became more interested in the training of the dogs, from the puppy training though to fixing common show dog issues and keeping dogs interested in the show ring. This interest, mixed with the desire of owning her own business, Winning Paws Dog Training was formed.
Roxanne enjoys the showing side, regularly handling her own dogs in the breed ring alongside her Parents (Ray and Debbie McDonald) and is a handler to the Eusanit-Tollyhimmel Kennel, owned by Tina and Sky Westwood and Jackie Johnson where she shows the dogs with Sky.
In her time outside dogs, the main income comes from working in Continuous Improvement Manager in Retail.
